My professional photography consists of still portraits of people, but my true love is nature and landscape. I spend my free time traveling around in search of covered bridges, waterfalls, vintage cars, old barns, and scenic views. I do not use a brick-and-mortar studio for portraits, opting for natural settings instead. When it comes to children, the candid shots capture the essence of their personalities better than having them sit, uncomfortably, in a studio.
Newborn photography is something I've been interested in pursuing recently. It is a unique niche in photography that is growing in both popularity and demand. Parents are recognizing the benefits of capturing the first moments of their new baby's arrival. Babies change more in the first year than in any other segment of their lives. My goal is to capture those first few days of life while they are still spending most of their time sleeping. Mothers will forever have a keepsake memory of those tiny fingers and toes, the sweet pouting lips, and sometimes a smile.
